Training
We have trained many of our own dogs over the years and continue to do so, specializing in gun dog and hunt test training programs. We also accept clients’ dogs for training along with ours.
Our programs concentrate on gun dog training, NAVHDA and AKC/UKC training, and NSTRA.
Puppy Starter Program (9 to 12 months old)

This program usually runs for two months.
Gun Dog Program
Includes everything in the puppy program in addition to the following:

•Steady to wing (most will be steady to wing and shot)

• (Forced retrieve training is available at additional cost.)
This program usually runs an additional 45 to 60 days.
Our training methods are different than most. We prefer to train with “soft touch and gentle reminders” that bring out the best in your hunting companion.
Training is uncomplicated, using only a check-cord, a pinch collar, an e-collar, lots of repetition, and of course birds, birds, birds.
