Our fifth week started on a very sad note when we lost little Vader because of a birth defect that wasn't treatable. He was a joy and much loved in the short time he was with us.
The other three puppies are thriving and growing, eating soft puppy food and learning to get along with each other. Ruby is still allowing brief occasional nursing but lets them know when she is off limits! The pups are enjoying early morning and late evening romps outside in the yard but the extreme temperatures during the day keep us all inside. They still take long naps but enjoy play time together in their pen, and especially love climbing on people and getting cuddled.
