Penny slept all day on Monday, Memorial Day, then kept us awake all night before delivering her first puppy at 2:30 a.m. Since the vet had predicted five puppies according to her X-ray, we thought the fifth puppy was the last. When Don took Penny outside around 5:30 in the morning, she surprised him with one more that made a soft landing on the grass! All are healthy and doing well. The firstborn was a female, followed by five males.
