What a difference a week makes! Up to now, the puppies were totally dependent on their noses to locate their mom and each other. But now they can see and hear and explore their world. Sugar and Shooter were the first to open their eyes at 10 days old, followed by Sassy and Scout on day 11, Scooter, Sweet Pea and Sarge on day 12, and finally Shadow on day 13. They are beginning to walk and play and chew on each other and react to noises and hands reaching into their box. They play for just a few minutes, then pile up and snuggle to sleep.
