Club de l'Epagneul Breton National Event — 2015
Field Trials and Show ‑ February - 14 - 17, 2015
Day 1: The Specialty Show was held in an protected outdoor pavilion, but even the dogs were shivering in the bitter cold. Gypsy and Cory both received second place in their classes (Adult Female and Adult Male Orange & White Variety), and Gypsy won Reserve placement (2nd) for Best Female - Orange & White.
Day 2: Cory and Gypsy ran well in the Open Solo liberated bird field trials but failed to find birds. Josie ran in the Gun Solo with liberated birds and passed the T.A.N. (test of natural ability) by finding and pointing, but she broke on flush and did not pass the Gun trial.
Day 3: Bitter cold kept Linda and Nellie inside, but Don, Cory and Gypsy again challenged themselves in the wild bird trials and again did not find birds.
Day 4: Wild bird trials — The day began with a 9 degree temp but with sunshine, warmed up to 16 by afternoon. Despite hunting their hearts out, our dogs were unable to find birds.
While we didn't fare as well as at past events, we had an enjoyable reunion with old friends, met some new ones and had a chance to see family along the way.

CEB-US National Field trials were held at Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Park in Chandlerville, Illinois. Bitter cold temperatures, strong winds and heavy cover challenged dogs and handlers alike, and only a few dogs succeeded in finding birds.
